All firms performing assurance engagements, other assurance or related services engagements, which includes compilation engagements, were required to have systems of quality management (SoQM) designed and implemented in accordance with CSQM 1 by December 15, 2022.
Join Marcus Guenther, CPA, CA, partner at Focus HGK LLP for an in depth look at what professional accounting firms need to know.
CSQM 1 requires firms to adopt a risk-based approach in designing, implementing, and operating the SoQM. In general, this requires a firm to:
· Establish quality objectives;
· Identify and assess risks to meet objectives;
· Design and implement responses to quality risks;
· Design a monitoring and remediation program.
This session will provide an overview of the key CSQM 1 requirements and discuss how design and implement a SoQM, including monitoring activities which is required to be completed by the end of the first year, i.e. December 2023.
1. Identify important new key requirements for CSQM 1
2. How to properly implement SoQM
3. Hear from other professionals’ experience
You will require an Internet connection and a phone/voice connection at the same time. Most attendees use their computer for the audio. Participants are able to submit questions and comments during the session via a Q&A text panel. Terms, conditions, pricing and services subject to change.
