Corporate Tax Update – Live Webinar June 11, 2026
In this live 2.0-hour webinar, we will present the key tax changes and form modifications integrated into Corporate Taxprep 2026 V1.0, CCH iFirm Taxprep T2 and Cantax T2 programs. The scheduled software release dates are May 15, 2026, for Taxprep, May 15, 2026, for iFirm Taxprep, and May 29, 2026, for Cantax T2. The session will also include a discussion of new features in the online services of CRA including the requirement for businesses to register online for a business number or CRA program account., effective November 3, 2025.

We will discuss recent tax legislation that has been proposed including draft legislation recently proposed. We will highlight the most important elements of the last federal budget released November 4, 2025, and any recent provincial budgets and announcements.  Finally, we will provide updates on previously announced tax measures that may affect corporate tax planning and compliance.

PRESENTERS: Sue Deakin, CPA, CA, MAcc

Sue is a Professor of Accounting, specializing in tax, at the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario.    Sue earned her undergraduate degree and MAcc from the University of Waterloo and her CPA designation thereafter.  She completed her co-op education with Arthur Andersen & Co in Toronto and continued to work at AA& Co. in Taxation upon graduation.  She then worked for 15 years as VP Finance in a local property management company before pursuing a teaching career.  Sue has been assisting with the Wolters Kluwer webinars and seminars since the Fall of 2019.  Sue likes to keep active with activities such as golf, running, and workouts.  She enjoys time with family and friends – especially at the family cottage on Lake Huron.
